Attendance And Tardy Policy

Attendance Policy:

Consequence
4th absence during a block Student is dropped from enrollment until the beginning of the next block.
· Students are considered absent when they enter class 15 minutes or more after the beginning of class.

· All assignments and assessments, including make-up work, must be completed and handed in by the last day of each block.

· Students who fail to attend an assigned academic support will be marked absent.

Tardy Policy:

Consequence
1st tardy in one week Mandatory attendance of lunch period on the day of the tardy or the next lunch if tardy occurs in the afternoon.
2nd tardy in one week Mandatory attendance of lunch period until tardies are made up.

Students must serve detention during the next available lunch period. If a student fails to serve detention, they will be considered absent, which counts toward the block limit of two absences per block.

3rd tardy in one week Student is dropped from enrollment until the beginning of the next block.
· Each tardy requires a lunch period of make-up time.

· Students who fail to attend an assigned lunch period are marked absent.

· Students get a clean start at the beginning of each week.
