Dear Bulldog Nation,

2025 is here! It’s crazy to think that we are already in January and ready for our 2nd quarter to end. We are so excited to welcome another Discovery cohort to our school on January 20th when the third quarter begins. 

On the first day of the new quarter, we will be traveling to Idaho Falls to Gateway Park to do some fun winter activities. SCHS will cover the cost of all students’ admission to the park, but students are encouraged to bring money or a lunch for the noontime meal. There are shops available for students to purchase items, and the busses will be stopping at a food area for students to purchase a meal if they desire. If anyone is in need of a meal, please visit with me and let me know so I can assist you. We will leave at 8:30 AM and return about 3:30 PM. Students living in the lower valley may be picked up and dropped off at Thayne Elementary School, Etna Elementary School, or KJ’s in Alpine. Please notify the office if you are wanting to be picked up and dropped off at these locations. Students who have graduated 1st or 2nd quarter are also welcome to participate. With the end of the 2nd quarter comes some graduates! We are pleased to announce our five graduates from quarter 2:

MK Price, Michael Holman, Dominic Stringer, Tehya Bagaso, Kayden Nield, and Bailey Leavitt.

I am extremely proud of these five graduates for sticking to their plans and working hard to earn their diplomas. We will be holding a roast and toast for these students on Tuesday, January 14th at 10:30 AM.

Remember, it’s never too late to begin to change your life for the better. With work and faith in yourself, anything is possible.
